Tanya Sen has been a performing musician since the age of 12. Although starting out her initial training in Hindustani Classical, Tanya ultimately found her zest in Contemporary Western Music covering genres like Pop, Rock, Funk, Rock ‘n Roll, Blues and Jazz.

A singer par excellence, Tanya Sen has won many awards and accolades in her professional career spanning almost 18 years. She is equally at ease in live gigs, which she performs exclusively to western music audiences, playback singing, voice overs and vocals for promotional media.

Although an independent musician from Calcutta, Tanya performs with a cross section of talents across the country and is part of the PopCult band of which she is a founding member.

Her earlier collaborations were with Crystal Grass and Zoo two prominent city bands of yesteryears. She also partners with two of Calcutta’s prominent artistes in her predominantly acoustic, Tanya Sen Trio lineup.
